On this edition of the weekly buff we have Kimberly a new customer, that came in with a X6 that had previously been ceramic coated, but the previous shop did not prep the vehicle properly and left all the scratches and swirls under the coating, and as you can see in the video water was sticking to the paint like crazy. It needed work and the crew knew it would be tedious, but yield great results.
The first thing as always was a full decontamination wash, and as you can see in the video the claybar removed tons of contamination from the surface layer of paint that was making the surface rough to the touch. once that was complete they used our EVO Shampoo to get a clean surface for paint correction.
The first step for correction was to tape all the trim and edges off so that we don’t burn them, and lose paint in those areas. Once that was done Josh and Jr began the paint correction process with a microfiber pad along with our EVO 800 Heavy cut polish. This removed most of the heavy swirls and imperfections, but left a small amount of marring behind which required a second polishing step with a foam pad and our EVO 3000 finishing polish to leave a flawless finish.
The next step was to protect the vehicles finish with our EVO PRO Ceramic Coatings. we used our EVO PRO 9H on the entire paint finish providing a 4 year warranty, as well as our EVO Plastic Renew & Protect on all the trim to protect it from the Vegas summers. EVO glass coating on the exterior, and Wheel & caliper coating on the face of the wheels.
When the customer picked up they loved the outcome and couldn’t believe how it looked almost brand new compared to how it came in. Make sure to drop a like, comment, and subscribe to our channel for all future weekly buff videos showcasing weekly clients.
